Bnai Noach Alliance

Oath Brit Approach

The Bnai Noach Alliance occurs when Esau and Ishmael, the Bnai Noach people, who currently due to the fact that their ancestors rejected the Torah revelation at Sinai, and consequently also rejected the Brit Bnai Noach, consequently currently the goyim have no brit relationship with Elohim nor with the Chosen People. However, should a generation of vision arise among Esau and Ishmael, and reject the decision made by their ancestors, and accept the Torah revelation of Sinai then they too become a Bnai Brit chosen people the inheritance of Elohim within the world of (Derech Eretz דרך ארץ) and also within the physical world at this moment. The new creation has the power to unify these two worlds into one world. This joining to two separate worlds into one world constitutes as the great Alliance/Brit.

Brit Bnai Noach from the Torah

Oath Brit Approach

The contrast between the 1st book of Moses and the other 4 books, the 1st addresses a man and his family's relationship with the Ancient of Days whereas the latter 4 books concerns the nation of Israel's relationship with the Ancient of Days. Even more fundamental, the 1st book of Moses addresses the Brit Bnai Noach whereas the latter books address the Brit Bnai Israel. The Talmud teaches that the Avot kept all the commandments yet the 1st book for the most part does not mention commandments! The Avot cut a covenant with foreigners. Who exactly were these foreigners? The Avot cut a brit with other Bnai Noach!

In the 2nd book of Moses, the Torah says: a new king that did not know Yosef. The Talmud debates this verse. The story of Yosef speaks about theft and oppression like that which the Torah spoke of the world being full of theft and oppression and of Hashem's regret of having Created the world. The government of Yosef obviously was a Bnai Noach Government. Hence if a new king arose that did not know Yosef this must mean that the king of Egypt had abandoned the Brit Bnai Noach. Hence the story of Exodus that speaks of the theft and oppression of Pharaoh and his government. The Talmud teaches that the nations abandoned the Brit Bnai Noach. A source for this teaching: the Aggadata and Midrash that teach concerning the revelation of Torah at Sinai that Hashem asked Esau and Ishmael if they would accept this Torah and they refused. Who were the descendants of Avraham? If Avraham was a Bnai Noach his descendants also were a Bnai Noach. The revelation of the Torah at Sinai being an obvious extension of the Brit Bnai Noach because if not how could the Talmud teach that the Avot kept all the commandments. If the Avot kept all the commandments and were Bnai Noach how many commandment to Bnai Noach observe today?

The majority opinion as held by Rav Shwartz of the Nascent Sanhedrin being the Talmudic teaching that since the nations abandoned the Brit Bnai Noach that the nations today have no commandment to keep the commandments of the Torah and that the reward given for keeping the commandment, that a person which has no commandment to keep these commandments being obviously less than the reward given to a person that has the commandment to keep the commandments. The oath before the judges its purpose: to restore the original status of the non-Bnai Brit peoples to being Bnai Brit peoples.

My opinion, that time is not linear concerning the Torah, that every generation has the opportunity to accept or reject the brit of Torah. That if the people of this generation choose to accept the Oath-Brit of Sinai than these people follow in the foot steps of the fathers of Israel that observed ALL the commandment! At Mt. Sinai the nation of Israel became a new creation and cut a brit, that today if the nations reject the folly of their fore-fathers and accept the Torah that they too shall establish a new creation upon this earth.

Cut a brit

Oath Brit Approach

The implication of an oath being "cutting", cutting a brit, or the opposite cutting to a premature death. But coret/cutting means much more, the Gemarah of Rosh Hashanna compares the Day of Creation with the 1st and 7th months. Obviously they, the two primary teachers of R. Akiva debate not an issue of a past event but a present daily occurrence. Both Pashach and Yom HaKippor? have a din of coret if a person transgresses the din of coret (Cutting) (cutting a brit) is two sided. On Passover the Ancient of Days chose Israel and Killed the first born of Egypt - cutting.

So too the Day of Atonement a choice of eternal inheritances occurs. This choice of eternal inheritances in the world the sages understood as the continual act of Creation, that's why the Torah begins with the creation story. The Gemarah in question is 24 Nedarim, check it out, there the Gemarah speaks of making an oath before a court with a safer torah as opposed to the informal setting of emotionally making an oath based upon an exaggeration.

A vain or lying oath can not be annulled. But the Torah gives power to the court to inflict lashes upon a person thereby saving the person from "coret" Coret/cutting. Meaning that a act of transgression occurs that annuls the brit relationship. If Bnai Noach make the Oath/Brit they cut a Brit with Heaven, and Heaven chooses them as the "chosen" inheritance in this world measure for measure. A Bnai Brit person has a Brit relationship. This relationship a person is not born into, each person must cut the Brit.

Its two ways heaven cuts a brit with man and man cuts a brit with heaven.

The emotional attribute/middah of T'shuva the gemarah defines, as i understand it, as listening and incorporating what someone else has said and internalizing the words having them emanate from your own soul. Change does not occur from the outside but rather from the inside. An alcoholic does not get off the bottle b/c people tell him he's a drunk. But rather the alcoholic says to him/her self Hey I'm an alcoholic. The specific of alcoholism defines the general of T'shuva. Emotional development man really require reaching unto Elohim for assistance.

If a bnai Israel transgresses a din of coret, for example eating leavened products on Passover or eating food or drink on yom haKippor the coret of heaven cuts the inheritance of the transgressor from the brit inheritance if the transgressor does not do T'shuva.

Derech Eretz

Oath Brit Approach

Derech Eretz דרך ארץ. Means defining and developing rational control of emotional drives/surges/currents which flow like a river within the soul of man. Human beings have their emotions at birth, but only develop rational thought much later in life. As such the emotional surges/swings that a person experiences, for non-Bnai Brit peoples, these control and direct the rational thought processes. I call it living within the Cave of many colors. The emotions create an environment whereby the mind reacts to this given environment and justifies decisions made based upon the given environment. People living in their cave remains cavemen barbarians irregardless of their cultural trappings of knowledge education and beauty.

Taking the Neshama/breath from the body takes conscious choice. Creating a world of דרך ארץ (Derech Eretz) from the Neshama makes the Bnai Brit person in the image of the Creator!

Does Zion surpass Shiloh?

Oath Brit Approach

Does the sanctity of Zion surpass the sanctity of shiloh? After Shiloh people could make private altars. As a minority opinion of possibly only myself it seems to me that if a person built an altar today to bind the soul to keep the brit, all places within the borders of the lands of Israel merit the presence of a sacred altar. After 2000 years of exile we have much to do toward rebuilding our Torah civilization. Any action that the Bnai Brit peoples do to rebuild our Torah civilization qualifies as a means to an end.

Its not the sacrifices whereby a Bnai Brit worships the Ancient of Days rather its the Oath-Brit whereby the Soul of Israel is bound with the ropes of an eternal obligation to achieve justice among our allied peoples and rule our lands with intra-bnai brit diplomacy.

Just as food requires internalization before a person benefits from any nutritional value, so too and even more so the Oath-Brit, a person must internalize. If a Bnai Brit person concentrates only upon the external religious rituals of Judaism and fails to develop middot and דרך ארץ such an עם הארץ has only the sign of the brit upon his flesh but the substance of Torah spirituality remains lost and unknown.

Upon the merit of Yosef the Ancient of Days split the Sea of Reeds. As Yosef established a government that lightened the burden upon the common man so too the Sanhedrin Home Government must ensure that the branches of State protect the interests of the common man when confronted by the interests of fixed established wealth. Proper government requires judgment. Proper government irrespective of its forms of office be it Monarchy, Parliamentary Socialist or Democracy, requires its leaders to guard and maintain the substance of judgment. Namely, that the needs of the many out weighs the needs of the few. Government leaders require a disciplined character. Hence if the soul of Torah spirituality concerns keeping the commandments, the heart of Torah spirituality concerns emotional attribute development. Government leaders require an emotional empathy with the people.

The corruption of government occurs when the nations leaders develop an empathy for established wealth. Wealth does little when the people of the land daily experience poverty violence and oppression. Drugs, prostitution, and gambling produces much wealth at the expense of human dignity. Modest government must uproot organized crime from our lands. Modest government must never show pity to the peddlers of organized crime; it must continually guard the nations' interests and behead this Mafia from the midsts of our lands.

The sale of Yosef to slavery uprooted the merit of the Oath-Brit of Yaacov and his sons. Hence the place of שכם reflects not only the form of the brit reality but also the substance of our Oath-Brit responsibilities. Herein lays the intent concerning the Torah clearly written upon the 12 stones and afterwards covered with plaster. The Bnai Noach peoples have additional understanding whereby they can discern substance from form.

The sale of Yosef into slavery compares with the betrayal of the wilderness spies. These appointed leaders abandonment of faith in the Oath-Brit caused exile unto the generation of the wilderness. As the atheism of the spies caused galut so too did the sale of Yosef into Egyptian slavery.

How then can I say that I am an atheist praise Hashem?! Torah faith concerns not in religious beliefs and theologies, but rather keeping the commandments and emotional middot development. We have an Oath-Brit relationship with the Ancient of Days the Bnai Brit peoples do not require theologians and dogma. We require Torah scholars to interpret the intent of the framer for the purpose of legislating law to meet the needs of the generation and times. This type of scholarship is called הלכה למעשה.

As the splitting of the Sea of reeds required courage and leadership so too the splitting of the Yarden. From this its possible to learn that the generation require courage and leadership. Because the nation has entrusted a leadership team with government responsibilities does not prove that this leadership team shall behave any better than did the wilderness spies or the political opponents of King Solomon. The purpose of the school of the prophets , training sages capable of judging the middot development of public officials. Prophets advise governments first and foremost in middot development and not so much in shaping government strategy and tactical policy.

The school of the prophets, by judging the middot development of government public officials gives the prophets the mandate to initiate impeachment of public leaders. Judging the emotional middot of government leaders qualifies as a time oriented commandment. For a prophet, time does not determine the commandment, rather the arousal of the heart. At a moment in time when the leadership helm stands in crisis - at a pivotal cross road junction, like "shall I prevent Israel from traveling to Yerushalem on the festivals because I fear the Kingdom shall return to the house of David", the aroused heart of the prophet determines the time of the commandment to impeach the king.

Galut Talmudic Scholarship

Oath Brit Approach

Galut talmudic scholarship tends to divorce primary sources with secondary sources. An even worse mistake, besides not catching the 1st mistake, is confusing primary source with secondary sources. An even worse mistake, besides not catching the 2nd mistake, "believing" the secondary sources or even tertiary sources have equality or even worse superiority over primary sources. This last error is when "believers" make their own religion. There's allot of religion in the world, which only proves how many people have allowed themselves to embrace this טומאה/vile filth.

Talmud 101: What style does the Mishneh consistently employ?

Answer: Case/Rule.

What style does the gemarah consistently employ?

Answer: Difficulty/Response

Why does the gemarah employ a different style than does the mishneh? Answer: Case/Rule and Difficulty/Response are 2 sides of the same coin. The system employed by the Mishneh constitutes as a common law approach. The system employed by the Gemarah brings events, be they halachic or aggadic, that a scholar can place the language of Rabbi HaNasi? into context of a given event. Hence when when the gemarah raises a "difficulty" to a given event, it in effect is challenging the given event as being a valid precedent; and when the gemarah gives a response this answer attempts to logically prove that the challenged event in fact does constitute as a valid precedent.

As the galut of europe became ever darker and more harsh Jewish scholars relied on pilpul style of learning to the point of excluding all other methods of Talmudic scholarship.

In 1948 a revolution occurred and an independent Jewish state arose from the grave yards of europe. The Bnai Noach movement that's starting to spout in this generation qualifies as a consequence of an independent Jewish ruler-ship within a portion of the boundaries of the lands of Israel.

To understand halacha its not enough to quote from some halachic code like a parrot. Each generation requires its poskim, because the realities that each generation must address have unique qualities. That I'm writing a response on a web-page constitutes as a very valid example. My parents did not know what a computer was, much less did they possess the opportunity to employ a computer to communicate around the world. Contrast our generation with that of the reshonim. These great scholars lived in the dark ages, barbarianism was the given of the day; populations were incredibly small, cities were tiny and far from one another, 98% of the populations lived in the country side and poverty and starvation were the norm. Road were almost non existent and people usually did not travel more than ten miles from their home in an entire life time. The halacha of that world does not apply to our world.

Purim s'maach

consider the ruling: For the transgression of the golden calf: the Jewish nation received forgiveness. For the transgression of slander of wood and stone: the Jewish nation received NO forgiveness.

Even IF one says that slander is like avodah zarah none the less the worship of the gold calf constitutes absolutely as avodah zarah! How is the ruling from heaven fair?

Answer: Where as the spies convinced the nation that the oath that Elohim swore unto Avraham that his descendants would live in slavery in a foreign land, and that with a strong hand the Elohim would take them from slavery and bring them into the oath sworn lands of Canaan. The nation who saw the mighty plagues on Par'o and Egypt yet profaned the oath-brit of their fathers. This generation neither observed circumcision and abandoned Passover. Where as the sin of the calf during the distress of "believing" that Moshe our teacher had died, the nation sought to build an image that Elohim was in their midst. Struggling with faith constitutes as a problem of the generations whereas the slander of the spies profaned the Oath-brit of Avraham. From oaths one learns the term "fear of heaven". Adam because he and the generations of Adam profaned their oath-brit the floods destroyed humanity! The distinction between a bnai brit person and a non-bnai brit person: the oath one makes before the Safer Torah. For example, the Shemoneh Esrea is called the standing prayer. Why standing prayer? The best place to pray is in a synagogue. A synagogue contains a Safer Torah. To make an oath a person has to stand before a Safer Torah. Hence the ge'on the B'hag, the ge'onim preceded the scholars known as the reshonim, ruled that if a person prayed with the intent of cut a brit that his prayer fulfilled a commandment from the Torah; that all people in every generation has a Torah obligation to cut a brit. That this constitutes as the essential kavvanna of the framers of the standing prayer. The gemarah of brachot teaches that if a person prays without kavvanna its as if he did not pray.

The question has been asked, why did Israel receive the Torah at Sinai? why was not the Temple mount chosen for the revelation of the Torah. The answer given by the Midrash, that by giving Torah in the wilderness all nations had equal access to accept the Torah.

This answer leaves many problems. First the revelation of the Torah at Sinai, was it an historical event in the past or does every generation have equal access to the Torah to accept it or reject it? If its only a historical revelation from the ancient past only one generation of mankind had equal access to accept the Torah and all other generations did not enjoy this blessing. If so the original question still stands, why not reveal the Torah at the Temple Mount, Elohim already knew that only Israel would accept the Torah, so why play games?

From this proof I say that a person does not read midrash but rather must interpret the intent of Midrash. The former any child can do but the latter requires wisdom.

Israel left Egypt for the purpose of conquering Canaan. The Israelite people had experienced 210 years of Egyptian culture and before that Canaanite culture. Israel was commanded to uproot the culture of Canaan. But that's an impossible task if a people does not have a culture that can replace the uprooted culture. Hence Israel left Egypt and received the Torah at Sinai. Uprooting a given society means that a new order has to replace the old uprooted order that once prevailed in the land. Establishing a given order within society this constitutes as the job of a government. This government must have a mandate by which it can legislate and enforce new laws. What was the constitutional mandate of every Israelite government from Yeshua up until the 1st exile? The Torah! That being the case the distinction between a non exiled Torah people and an exiled Torah people, in the former Torah qualifies as primarily a political document whereas in the latter Torah serves as only a religious faith.

Moshe Kerr

Oath Brit Approach

Rabbi Moshe Kerr
Rabbi Moshe Kerr

An innovative approach to the ever evolving discoveries of the noahide path, based on the teachings of Rabbi Moshe Kerr of Israel. This approach disagrees with the majority of Rabbinic opinion of those involved with the Noahide movement. Rabbi Kerr stresses that the Noahide covenant must be reconnected through the making of the Oath-Brit. Rabbi Kerr’s teachings assumes there is only one Noahide faith and attempts to define that faith in terms of traditions, customs and practice.

Precented here is part of a collection of Rabbi Moshe Kerr’s teachings which is provided to WikiNoah by Billy Jack Dial. Mr Dial originally met Rabbi Moshe Kerr through correspondence in 2005, and went to Israel and met with Rabbi Moshe Kerr in 2006.

Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzatto on Gentiles

Oath Brit Approach

Question

With Help From Heavens.

Dear Rabbi, I received this questions on our "Bnei Noah do Brasil" Study Group and I could not answer propely. If you can help me to find more understanding bout the question...it is as follow:

[Dear Alberto, would we gentiles understand those words of Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzatto: "On his book - the way of God - (Portuguese Translation) Chapter 4, Israel and the Nations, in the end":

"the deeds of the nations, on other hand, do not add to or subtract from the state of creation, nor do they cause God to revel Himself or withdraw. All they can do is bring about their own gain or loss, and strenghthen or weaken their own directing angel. Although God does not involve himself expressly in the direction of the nations in detail, it is possible that He should exercise His Providence over them whem it is required for the sake of Israel. This may be because of a single jew, or for a number of them. Such a case, however, falls under the category of means, discussed in the previous chapter."

Saying on this words, that the gentiles are secondary people to God?! We gentiles do not cause God to revel Himself (So God revealed Himself by the means of the jews and not by Himself?!) so our prayers and devotion are nothing but dependant on Israel?! We pray for God but a angel is listen and only after that God?! If God reveals Himself, He only do if that will be good for a jew? If not (if its good just for a gentile) He is not interested in it? So for what porpose gentile are noahides? To serve Israel religion for sure?! ]

You answer will be very precious, Thanks. Alberto.

Answer

Dear Alberto,

Torah acknowledges the existence of many gods. The bnai brit peoples by swearing an oath not to switch faith and worship other gods, we cut a brit that Elohim and only Elohim is our G-D. Gentiles as human beings share equality with bnai brit peoples who's lives also are human beings. There is no primary or secondary status. All people qualify as human beings. The distinction occurs with human beings who are bnai brit and human beings who are non-bnai Brit. Naturally if a non-bnai brit person had the same relationship with the Elohim as a bnai brit person there'd be no reason to cut a brit/oath. If i drop a brick and it lands on my foot, I have no justification to complain about gravity. So too the non-bnai brit peoples have no reason to complain about their non relationship with the Elohim of Israel. A person must have the courage to accept the consequences of his/her actions. That the gentiles rejected the brit of Noach and Avraham at the revelation of the Torah at Sinai, why they complain that they want the non responsibilities of being a non-bnai brit peoples while enjoying the benefits of a bnai brit peoples makes no logical sense and reflects great emotional immaturity; you can't have your cake and eat it too! If a non-bnai brit person seeks the Elohim, then that person must cut a brit/oath. No Oath No Brit Period. Its just that simple take it or leave it but that's how the game's played. Those are the rules. Complaining about the rules by which Elohim and bnai brit Israel forged an alliance really doesn't accomplish anything. Worse it encourages a tumah middah of a Narrow Eye, Jealousy, a desire to rip off all the good for ones' self and hatred without cause. Look how the christians slandered Jews for possessing all the wealth and seeking to control the world. Emotional immaturity is a plague that has shed immense bloodshed, a terrible example - the systematic murder of 1/3 of my people over a 12 year period. Non-bnai brit peoples bear the mark of Cain.

with respect, moshe

The Bnai Noach Oath

Oath Brit Approach

The non-Bnai Brit Bnai Noach Oath-Brit below is needs to be stated before a Rabbinical Bet Din holding a Kosher Safer Torah Scroll. This Oath-Brit is in order for one to become a new creation and become a member of the Bnai Brit peoples, and most important receive an authentic brit relationship with the Ancient of days:

Text of the Oath

Elohim, the Elohim of Adam, Noach, Avraham, Yitzak and Yaacov, before your prophetic Torah revelation I (Complete Name), do solemnly swear to do and seek just rulership within the borders of the lands of my people. By this Torah responsibility I (Complete Name) commit my Faith unto Elohim, that I (Complete Name) shall not switch my faith and worship gods of the non-Bnai Brit peoples. The essential conditions whereby the honor of the Elohim resides within my created world of (דרך ארץ Derech Eretz) and the created (דרך ארץ Derech Eretz) world of my peoples' soul: among my people the foundation by which I (Complete Name) accept your prophetic Torah and thereby cut a brit, that the Elohim of my fathers lives within the Neshama as my Elohim - before your Safer Torah with all my heart, soul and strength, I do shape the destiny of my identity unto abhoring and detesting forbidden sexual acts, theft and oppression, unto any and all members of my brit allied peoples.

Elohim, the Elohim of Adam, Noach, Avraham, Yitzak and Yaacov, when my prayers approach, my kavannah while standing in front of your Torah, to cause remembrance of my Oath-Brit to return unto my conscious Will. The essential condition whereby I (Complete Name) pray unto the Elohim, that I (Complete Name) give heart unto my people and plead for the justice of the Elohim to express Its rulership over the 13 defined emotional attributes which drives the behavior of my allied peoples.

Elohim, the Elohim of Adam, Noach, Avraham, Yitzak and Yaacov, doing your commandments I pledge to keep and also guard. Keeping and guarding your commandments this constitutes as my brit education and the education whereby my house throughout the generations makes profane non-Bnai Brit actions into holy Bnai Brit behavior. Keeping and guarding your commandments by this means do I (Complete Name) and my house increase beauty with in the world for the purpose of giving honor unto the Elohim. Live Elohim within my soul and give life unto me and my house. Therefore when I (Complete Name) study the wisdom of your great prophetic Torah revelation, do I (Complete Name) thereby seek that the Elohim, with wisdom, shall inspire the Bnai Noach judicial leaders to interpret the Torah unto the true intent of Moshe the Man of Elohim our Teacher. Amen.

Meaning of the Oath

My friends of Bnai Noach,

Realize your GREAT merit! Your generation can choose to return to Sinai and accept the Torah revelation!

KNOW that making a Torah oath this has terrible repercussions. The Jewish people endured a 2000 year exile under terrible oppressive conditions because we failed to abide or meet the terms of our oath-brit with the Elohim. Taking a Torah oath brings life and death to you, your children, and their children and their children's children etc. Where are the Jews that lived in europe for over 1500 years?! The answer is very ugly. Taking a Torah oath defines "Fear of Heaven". The Creator is not limited to a flood to destroy communities of bnai brit who profane their Torah oath! The Elohim is a terrible Elohim who weighs the bnai brit peoples commitment to do and to keep the oath-brit relationship. Profane the oath-brit and no sacrifice can atone. If you make a Torah oath you can NEVER turn back EVER. In America many Jews today have assimilated and there behavior follows along similar lines of western european Jewry prior to the Shoah. Prior to 1492 Jewry knew a "Golden Age" in Spain. But there too, Jewry assimilated in large numbers unto the non-bnai brit dominant culture and/or civilization; both Spanish Jewry and Spain went into a decline that they have never recovered from unto this day! The decision to cut an brit? with the Elohim: LIFE AND DEATH. Its a very VERY VERY serious decision; choosing to cut an brit? defines: FEAR OF HEAVEN

The Jewish communities survived the last exile from their land with horrible bloodshed pain and misery. All the great peoples and civilizations that oppressed us are gone! That's not saying that others have not risen in their stead. The Terrible Jealous Elohim weighs and judges the commitment of every generation to do and keep their oath-brit. For the bnai brit people we see the hand of the Elohim if not every day enough times to remember and tremble of our responsibilities: all evil that occurs unto my house come upon me because of MY failure to guard and maintain my oath-brit obligations. Converts to Judaism Ger Toshav, receive neither encouragement, but rather pushed away. Those who none the less, demand their inheritance become bnai brit. Israel has returned unto its homelands. During our long and terrible exile, a few non-bnai brit people converted and accepted the oath-brit responsibilities and obligations upon their soul. With our return, conversion unto Judaism non-bnai brit neither need nor require to live and cut a brit with the Elohim and their by become Bnai Torah. Bnai Noach your generation possesses great merit, the most worthiness of all the generations of mankind since the revelation of the Torah at Sinai. The struggle of the Torah with mankind centers upon whether men shall keep or reject the oath-brit Torah relationship with the Elohim. This entails the entire Torah in one sentence. CHOOSE Bnai Noach life and death, blessings and curses. KNOW that your choice has serious consequences upon heaven and earth FOREVER. King David in the Psalms said in his prayers unto the Elohim that their was no place for him to hide; Adam and Eve sought to hide from the Elohim but could not. The generations of Adam sought to ignore the Elohim but could not ignore the floods that drowned them. Par'o thought an army could protect him from the Elohim but this army perished in a flash. NON-BNAI BRIT PEOPLES, we the Bnai Brit People our tortured history testifies that the Elohim of the fathers, HE's beyond terrible HE's our humility before all living.

The oath/brit relationship

Oath Brit Approach

Bnai Adam had 6 commandments not 1. Noach through prophesy gained an even deeper vision of the commandments and understood 7 commandments. Avraham through prophesy gained an even deeper vision of the brit of Adam and kept all the commandments. Moshe the man of Elohim our Teacher what Avraham perceived Moshe publicly revealed as the depths of the commandment relationship vis a vis the brit of Adam and Noach. The Torah was revealed at Sinai because all nations of the world could accept or reject the Torah. The midrash specifically mentioned Esau and Ishmael because as descendants of Avraham, they not only rejected the Torah revelation but the essential brit of bnai Adam. This has scriptural precedent in Avraham's doubts if the nations kept the oath-brit of bnai Noach or not, hence he instructed her to tell to any one that asked that she was Avraham's sister.

What Avraham had a doubt by the time that Israel lived in Egypt have a large population the king that knew not Yosef had clearly rejected the bnai noach government of Yosef. The oath-brit of bnai noach entails not doing acts of sexual immodesty, theft or oppression to one's allied peoples. A brit being a formal alliance. A precedent for this examine the public Torah reading on Yom HaKippor?. The brit revelation of Sinai did not constitute as a new brit but rather a deep and historic revelation of the brit of bnai Adam. The first word of áøàùéú contains àù áøéú. Because bnai Adam profaned their oath-brit the floods destroyed the world and the Talmud coined the term "fear of heaven". The B'hag learned that each individual in every generation has an obligation to cut a brit. His precedent being King David's tikkun of 100 blessings. The prophet Havakuk understood that a blessing was in the family of an oath.

That's why R. Yochanan taught that a blessing requires The Name and Kingship to thereby distinguish a blessing from a praise. The Book of Ester understands Kingship as choice. The Gra learned that "the King" was a hint unto the Elohim. According to the 29th middah of R. Yose HaGalle? a hint means a numerical value. The numerical value of "the King" equals "Haman". The end of the 3rd chapter of Megilla, teaches that reading the Megilla requires Kavannah. The kavannah being when the name of Haman is pronounce to make a noise with the intent of wiping out the name, and when "the king" is read a person should have the intent to accept the Torah, because that's what happened on Purim! The bali tosafot learned Elohi Avraham as being as if kingship: first that otherwise the standing prayer lacks kingship and therefore does not qualify as a blessing, and secondly because kingship requires choice. Just as we pray on the festivals that Hashem chose us! The B'hag understood that if a person had intent to stand before a Safer Torah and pray the "standing prayer" that this person did a commandment from the Torah, though the nusoch of the 18 blessings is rabbinic the intent to cut a brit is one of the 613 commandments.

To cut a brit requires an oath. No oath no brit period. To make an oath a person has to stand before a Safer Torah. The prayer of the Anshe Knesset HaGadol? entailed standing before a Safer Torah. Where's the best place to pray, and what's in that place?! RaMBaM and Rashi dispute if a blessing is in the family of an oath from the Torah or from the rabbis. Depending upon which sheta that you learn R Akiva R Yochannan and Rash Lakish that a blessing qualifies as an oath. Hence prayer requires kavannah and a person who prays without kavannah is as if he did not pray. The simple meaning of the words do not help a person to fulfill his obligation because prayer requires kavannah

Q. What all is required to make this Oath-Brit as a Bnai Noach?

A. One must appear before a Bet Din of 3 rabbis and give the oath with a Safer Torah. That is it.

Q. Where are the Bet Din located that this can be accomplished at?

A. Curently none that I know of. I will be having one formed here in Atlanta GA perhaps in about a year. I have started a global charity organization called the United Noachide Council, inc. Within a matter of weeks it should become an legal/official non-profit org, with a 501(c)(3) charity. From that point I will solicite funds from other corporations to hold our first Bet Din. I hope to purchase a Kosher Safer Torah from Israel and have Rabbi Moshe Kerr to bring/deliver it. At that time we will gather a Bet Din to officiate the oath-Brit proper.

Outside of that if you know 3 rabbis who will do it before then, go for it.

Shalom, Billy Jack Dial
