What does sebomenoi mean?
Sebomenoi (σεβομενοι) is a Greek word meaning, perhaps, "Oneworshippers" which has been used to describe people at the stricter or more observant end of the Noahide spectrum. People who were called Sebomenoi in the Hellenistic-Roman world were previously known to the Hebrew world as Toshavim (תושבים) and have continued to be described in the Islamic world as Sebo'un (صابؤون not سبأيين). In the english speaking world, a Sabi (صابئ, σεβεοσ, תושב) should be described as Seboan to avoid confusion by using the term Sabian.
