Pata or Pota was nephew of the True Avars Edemen and Ed being the son of their True Avar sister and therefore grandson of their True Avar Father Csaba and his Hvarezmi wife. He was born after Hvarezmi caused the migration of the Varchonítes from Hvarezm into Causasian Albania in the 460sCE. It was through Pota that Csaba became the ancestor of the Aba clan.

Pota's father was also of the Hvarezmi nation a son of Togarma and the ancestor of the Bulanids and the Besarabians.His people were called Bisseni, Kazarig and Arsiya.
