The word Netzarim means scions and has been used to refer to the Royal Scions of the House of David such as the Exilarchs. The Netzarim seceeded from the Notzrim during the time of Mani. They were a circumcised Adoptionists who maintained some regard for the Law, rejected Paul, permitted stagnant water for ablutions, practiced Havdalah and implemented monogamy.
